Learn About WBSG

Smart, Safe & Fun

Our History:

In 1994, four boaters gathered on the Delta waterways in Stockton, CA to form an association dedicated helping boaters enjoy the water with greater comfort. They dedicated themselves to the boating community and focused on five areas where immediate action would have the largest impact: education, protection, safety, health and legislative advocacy.

Our Mission:

Worldwide Boaters Safety Group (formerly Western Boaters Safety Group) exists to inform and deepen boater’s commitment to safety, advocacy and education in boating. While striving to better personal responsibility, teamwork and respect, we also encourage self-learning, professionalism and creative thinking to produce innovative services to meet boaters’ evolving needs.

Our Vision:

Worldwide Boaters Safety Group’s vision is to empower people through detailed information to promote fun and safe boating practices. Worldwide Boaters Safety Group will become a leader in boating safety, advocacy and services.
